Responsibilities of the Management Committee:

  • Oversee the budget, spending of the EASO Secretariat and funding for specific projects and activities;
  • Work collaboratively to identify partnership opportunities with EASO members, as well as with other stakeholders not represented in EASO;
  • Establish/approve EASO sub-committees and project teams as identified;
  • Organize the Management Committee and all-member meetings;
  • Promote the objectives of ESD and EASO;
  • Attend management committee meetings;
  • Fundraise for EASO;
  • Be transparent about EASO interests and needs; and
  • Declare conflicts of interest, if any.

To enhance provincial policies in ESD and develop joint activities with the provincial government, the EASO Management Committee may invite provincial ministry representatives to attend its management committee meetings. Ministry representatives may provide information about provincial priorities, policies and initiatives related to provincial sustainability issues, and will not participate in the decision-making process.
